In a significant advancement for the program, 草莓影视 (NPU) has received accreditation for its from its governing body.
The听Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs听(CACREP) informed NPU鈥檚 School of Professional Studies (SPS)听last month听of its decision听following听a two-year review process.
SPS Dean听Dr.听Lori听Scrementi听called the decision a听noteworthy听milestone for the school.
鈥淭his recognition affirms the excellence of our faculty, the strength of our curriculum, and our commitment to preparing highly qualified counselors who are equipped to meet the growing mental health needs of our communities,鈥澨齋crementi听said.听鈥淐ACREP accreditation positions our program鈥攁nd our graduates鈥攆or a strong and impactful future.鈥
The CACREP board听based听its听decision on its review of self-study documents, the site听review team鈥檚 report, and听NPU鈥檚 response to the site review team鈥檚 report, according to a representative from CACREP.
鈥淥n behalf of the CACREP听board and听staff,听I extend congratulations听to all of those involved in making this a successful accreditation review process,鈥 said CACREP CEO听and President M. Sylvia Fernandez of the accreditation, which lasts through 2034. 鈥淪uch support is considered vital to assuring continued quality in higher education programs.鈥听
NPU鈥檚 MACMHC program is鈥a fully online, 700-hour, field-experience-heavy program designed to prepare students for licensure in Illinois and other states. It emphasizes ethical, culturally competent care with a Christian perspective, preparing graduates for diverse roles in community counseling, addiction treatment, and private practice.
