Axelson Center for Nonprofit Management

The Axelson Center for Nonprofit Management has closed.

Founded in 1999 to honor Nils Axelson’s 40 years of ethical leadership, the Axelson Center spent more than two decades equipping thousands of nonprofit professionals across the Chicago region with the practical skills and moral grounding to lead with wisdom and purpose. Through workshops, an annual conference, custom trainings, and the BootCamp for New Nonprofit CEOs, the center walked alongside leaders as they strengthened their organizations and renewed their sense of calling.

We are deeply grateful to Dr. Pier Rogers, our faculty, staff, partners, donors, and participants, whose dedication gave the center its meaning. While this closing marks a real loss for the many who learned, taught, and found community here, the values that defined this work endure. The conviction that nonprofit leadership is, at its core, a moral endeavor lives on in the leaders and organizations shaped by the Axelson Center’s legacy.
